Following the 4 demo tapes, split CD and compilation CD (featuring all material), GARDEN OF EYES returns with a debut on vinyl. This 7" features a brand new song entitled "Boomhammer" on the a-side with the b-side holding a remixed and remastered version of "Saw Cleaver" which was previously exclusive to the compilation CD.
The sound once more blends Swedish chainsaw guitars with that dripping atmosphere that Finnish bands perfected. This rotten combination of putrid sounds and Bloodborne / Lovecraftian lore can only be described as Eldritch Death Metal.
REVIEWS:
-GORE CRAZY (9/10): "Again more Swedish Death Metal grit, full of big riffs, and flourishes of more technical or Heavy Metal style playing (such as the solo). There is a sort of Autopsy quality the the songs later half too, Death/ Doom and vile." (

-NORTH FROM NOTHERN (8/10): "Garden of Eyes can be described as old school European death metal, not dissimilar to Swedish legends like Entombed or Dismember and Grave, yet also having a bit of black metal atmosphere and touch of melancholy within guitar work." (

-METAL BITE (78/100): “The title track 'Boomhammer' sounds very much like Swedish HM2 sound, embellished with some cool classic metal riffs and some doomy passages, especially in the chorus.” (

-GAMES, BRAINS AND A HEAD-BANGING LIFE (7.5/10): "Boomhammer with its hysterical bursts of instruments and echoing, rasping vocals leaves an indent. Deep and dark, a mid-point guitar solo is so unexpected but very welcome. Hell, there’s almost a foot-tapping quality to this track which is a strange thing to think about music so weighted towards the evil extreme." (

-ACTA INFERNALIS (7.5/10): "The mix is both cavernous and thick, while offering putrid hooking melodies and greasy vocals supported by possessed vocals. The track also offers sharp leads and a cadaveric heaviness." (

-SOULGRINDER ZINE: "A small portal to Hell was recently opened by way of Boomhammer, an impressive two song teaser showcasing some sinister songwriting chops." (

-ASTRAL NOIZE: "The two tracks on display here are brimming with Swedish-style groove, relentless churning riffs and some technical flourishes that truly tap into the eldritch horror of the project’s inspirations, whilst the serrated guitars imitate the trick weapons each track is named after." (

-THE GROWL: "Absolutely Euro worshiped. We dig how the vocals aren't tight, waves around its sick guitar tone. CHECK OUT!!!" (

-BLESSED ALTAR ZINE: "Very good. Unfortunately only two songs, that is the only thing I have to say against this release. Old school Death Metal so damn good. Check them." (

-MORBID METAL MORGUE: "The guitars are so very well done and the solos are a true highlight. The drums are deep and booming and his vocals are perfectly recorded and mixed and blend perfectly with the guitars and flow perfectly with everything." (

-METAL HELLVOLUTION: "What immediately catches your ears after listening to this EP for the first time is that the sound of the guitar riffs here (they are really good and old-school) is associated with classic Swedish death metal and this characteristic metal sound from this country. I can compare the sound and music of Garden Of Eyes on this release a bit like mixing two metal bands, and there are these bands: Entombed (Sweden) and Beherit (Finland)." (

-DEATH BY HAMMER ZINE: "The two tracks on this demo are rather brief, but have a resounding impact in terms of their execution. I would say that Nattskog has a good knack for composing solid death metal that is loaded with an array of crushing riffs." (

-REVEAL FANZINE: ""Boomhammer" delivers two tracks that are totally tight, full of heaviness, pure mid-tempo old-school Death Metal riffages, such an intersecting between British doom-death elements and Swedish classic buzzsaw sound. The ideas are superbly excellent, whether in the aspect of songwriting, guitarworks including solo parts and also musical arrangements. The vocals are extremely nasty!"
-METAL TEMPLE: "This English one man band shows a musical work that is based on an Old form of Death Metal similar in some points to Swedish Death Metal from the 90’s but with elements from British Death Metal as well." (

-IRON FIST ZINE: "Boomhammer hammers your ears as it ignites and shoots, emitting a powerful discharge of flames that explodes furiously to impact your head." (

-VM UNDERGROUND: “A really enjoyable 2 song EP that could well be labelled a lost Demo from Stockholm.” (
